How to Care for Your Flowers

What to do

  • Change the water every 1–2 days
Fresh, clean water makes the biggest difference in how long your flowers last.
  • Refill generously
Make sure stems are fully submerged. Flowers drink more than you think.
  • Keep them cool
A shaded room away from direct sun, heaters, or vents is ideal.
  • Remove any wilted stems
As flowers age, removing tired blooms helps the rest last longer.

What not to worry about

  • Sugar, pennies, bleach, or DIY mixtures
  • Flower food if you don’t have it
  • Constant trimming or overhandling

If the water is clean and fresh, your flowers are doing just fine.

A quick note

Flowers are natural and each stem behaves differently. Some varieties last longer than others, and that’s completely normal.

At Casa Rouge, we design with premium, seasonal stems and condition everything carefully before it reaches you. Once it’s in your space, fresh water is the best care you can give.
